Philosophy
The mission of Panther’s Den After School Center is to provide innovative, high-quality after school and summer day camp programs for school-age children in our community in an environment of acceptance and trust. At Panther’s Den, it is our deeply-held conviction that children are indeed “a gift of God,” and this is reflected in every aspect of why and how we “do what we do.” Our program will focus on character development (utilizing the Core Essentials Curriculum), and will be characterized by:
- healthy interactions with consistent, well-trained staff
- a creative and innovative program which allows children to explore their interests and develop their talents
- small group sizes, providing many opportunities for individual attention for the children in our care
- a physical environment which is both welcoming and safe *a focus on teaching children how to develop and us conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
