Our Teachers

Sharon is a Credentialed Director in the state of Mississippi with years of joyful experience in both center-based and home-based child care. Sharon has CPR/First Aid and Tummy Safe certifications. Sharon’s highest priority as a Family Child Care Provider is to create and provide a safe, clean, and loving environment in which your child will feel loved and valued.

Philosophy

Heritage is a decidedly Christian Family Child Care Home, because we are a decidedly Christian family! Although I will teach and model respect for all faiths, our daily activities and our holiday celebrations will reflect our sincerely-held faith in Jesus Christ. We will, for example, say or sing a simple blessing before snacks and meals; we will talk about basic Bible truths such as “God is love” and learn Bible stories (from a non-denominational perspective); and we will celebrate both Christian and patriotic holidays.

Music, art, nature, and hands-on learning activities are the cornerstones of our curriculum. Typical activities at Heritage FCCH will include: drawing, painting, singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, creating with clay, reading books, working puzzles, building with blocks and/or Legos, and playing outdoors!

Location

Heritage Family Child Care Home is located on Hwy. 11 North, about half-way between I-59 and Sandersville, in Jones County. We are surrounded by nature in all its beauty around here!

About our program

The use of open-ended materials, and play-based learning activities at Heritage FCCH encourages exploration and discovery and instills a love of learning in the children in our care. Our program is enriched by special visits from talented adults who are willing to share their expertise and knowledge in music and art. We also enjoy a delightful collection of books of many genres, opening up worlds of adventure for our Heritage kids.
