Our Teachers

Ayona Pickens is an extraordinary person. Ayona has always had a passion for children growing up being a wonderful older sister/ cousin to her younger siblings, Ayona as a teen- made the decision during COVID to complete high school virtually to assist her sister with childcare needed so she could go to school and work. Ayona graduated and entered into the childcare industry as a part-time teacher rapidly moving to a full-time valued employee in Foley, Alabama before moving to Jackson, Ms. where she currently works as a full-time teacher of 3–4-year-olds. Ayona is CPR certified and has completed many childcare teaching certifications.

Philosophy

With the world being technology based I pride myself in learning the basics. Here at Tee-Tee and Granny’s, I will make sure we don’t forget our basic foundations, focusing on things like basic math and phonics, I pay close attention to what your child might be facing challenges in and give them extra attention Granny’s style.

Our location is conveniently located near North Park Mall in Jackson, Mississippi.

If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start hosting tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application If you’re interested in enrolling, apply by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option is not available, you can message the program director. Please do not apply to enroll until you have set up a tour and visited the program.
