Philosophy

Our programs ensure that children excel academically, but there is so much more to it. We will guide children purposefully so that they are empowered to be independent, joyful learners through all stages of their development, from early childhood to adolescence.

We’ve designed and adapted programs to meet the high standards of today’s world of education. By providing a supportive environment, we make sure each child receives exactly what they need to be life-long learners. Our Early Literacy Focus includes three literacy programs; Language for Learning, Reading Mastery Plus and Reading Mastery. Our Literacy program is integrated with meeting the needs of the whole child with teaching that supports and nurtures all areas of children’s development and learning–from social-emotional and cognitive skills to literacy, math, and science understanding. TAJ believes this is a powerful strategy as preschool children transition to kindergarten.

About our program

At The Academic Journey Child Care Center our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging early learning environment that effectively supports the diverse needs of children and families in our community and creates a foundation for children to be able to enter Kindergarten as a lifelong learner and a critical thinker to become a productive citizen.

Our programs ensure that children excel academically, but there is so much more to it. We will guide children purposefully so that they are empowered to be independent, joyful learners through all stages of their development, from early childhood to adolescence.
