Our Teachers

Leota Mayo, Director

Leota graduated from Ozarks Technical College with two degrees, one in Business and the other in Early Education. She has 25 years of experience in Childcare, from in home care to nannying and center care. Her favorite thing about her job is building relationships and helping create leaders in our staff. She believes that building a strong sense of community within our center is of up most importance. She just wants to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years.

Philosophy

At Mighty Marvels Adventure Academy (MMAA) we are eager to become that home away from home that so many families are searching for. We believe in treasuring the families most prized possessions while they are away at work. Our mission is clearly demonstrated in the exceptional quality of the service we provide. Just as our name stands to define that which is little but “Mighty” and filled with wonder “Marvels” of the adventure “Adventures” they will have at our facility “Academy”. At MMAA our childcare is top notch, we shall strive to become an asset to not only the child, but the parent and the community as well. By providing a safe, affordable, home-like atmosphere where infants and children can explore, learn and grow, we intend to stand out among our competitors. Our philosophy and values include honesty, trust and integrity as we strive to become a role model of childcare excellence in our community.

Location

Mighty Marvels Adventure Academy shall provide care for infants and children ages zero to 5. We will have a total of seven classrooms. The seven classrooms are housed within two separate buildings. The front building is our preschool unit housing ages 2-5 and the back building is our infant/toddler unit with ages 0-2. The property has a full-service kitchen that will be in regulation with the state appointed food program. There is a fenced playground area for each age group with age-appropriate toys and mature trees that provide shade.
As a serviced based operation, we have a goal to exceed our customer’s expectations by providing a higher level of childcare in a home-like atmosphere with qualified teachers and staff. Our staff shall obtain specialized training in first aid, CPR as well as a rigorous background screening and fingerprints. To be competitive with other childcare facilities, MMAA will offer flexible hours from 7:00 am to 5:30pm. Our intention is to work side by side with the working parent as we strive to accommodate their schedule. We shall maintain competitive pricing offered 10 to 15% below our competition, to provide our services at a rate that is affordable to a greater number of families. We will also accept subsidies and participate in the Child and Adult Food Program. We also participate in Educare, NAPSACC and Farm to Table. We will provide a wide range of age-appropriate adventures and learning activities including arts and crafts, music, socialization, creative play and kindergarten readiness.
