Our Teachers

Hello my name is Ashley Hacker I am the owner/operator of Second Home Child Care. I’ve worked jobs caring for others for 12-13 years. I have worked with all ages as well as children and adults with mental disabilities. I have been running my own in-home child care for over 2 years now. I started out so I could be home and more hands on with my own child. I’ve always liked working with children and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Philosophy

At our school, we strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Our team of experienced and innovative teachers do this by creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.

Location

Located in the Montclair Drive neighborhood Poplar Bluff MO. Not far from Barron road.
