My Journey in Childcare:

My journey in childcare began in the early 1990’s driven by my own experiences as a young single mother. I struggled to find dependable daycare for my daughter, often missing work due to unreliable providers. This sparked a desire to create a safe, loving, and supportive environment for children.

For 12 years I cared for my daughter and other children in my home. Later, I transitioned into various roles, including Administrative Sales Manager at Culligan Water Conditioning Co., managing an art gallery in Osage Beach, and working in rare antiques and collectibles.

After getting divorced and moving back to Jefferson City, MO, I became an Enrollment Broker for Missouri Medicaid and a United Healthcare agent. I also taught part-time at a daycare outside of Jefferson City.

Full Circle:

In 2019, I returned to childcare, driven by a renewed passion to support single mothers and families in need. As I watched my grandchildren grow, I realized that my experience and love for childcare could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Today, I’m dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive and be safe. My journey has come full circle, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on my community.

About our program

At Starseeds Academy in Jefferson City, our devoted teachers create a warm and supportive atmosphere that fosters children’s self-reliance. With a hands-on approach to learning, we uniquely integrate children of different ages for valuable social experiences.

Admissions

At Starseeds Academy we value personal interactions and prioritize the safety and well-being of our children. To ensure a smooth and secure enrollment process, we have the following policies in place:

NO Online, Sight-Unseen Admissions: We don not accept online admissions without a prior in-person meeting with the family. This allows us to get to know you, and understand your child’s needs, and ensure we’re a good fit for your family.

Payment Terms

All fees, including the first full payment, must be paid in full prior or on the child’s start date. No exceptions will be made to this policy.

Paperwork and Agreements:

All enrollment paperwork must be completed, signed, and dated before the child’s start date. By signing our enrollment agreement, families acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to our policies and procedures.
