Roshunda Gardner-Hughes Director,
Hi there! My name is Roshunda Gardner, and I’m so excited to share my story with you. I’ve been a child care teacher for 20 wonderful years, and every day I get to spend time with amazing little ones who bring joy, laughter, and endless surprises. I grew up in the friendly town of Greenwood, Mississippi—a place where everyone knows your name and where love fills the air. I graduated from Greenwood High School in 2007, and even then, I knew I wanted to help children learn, grow, and smile every day. After high school, I gained my certification as a Medical Assistant in 2010, but my heart and passion was working with children. So, I continued my journey at Kansas City Kansas Community College. I studied hard and learned so much, finally graduating in 2016. The lessons I learned there, both in the classroom and from the people around me, have helped shape the caring, fun, and patient teacher I am today. My heart is filled with a deep love for children, and I believe in making every day special. I often say, “Let them be little,” because I think every child deserves to enjoy the magic of being a kid. Whether we’re reading a story, playing games, or simply exploring the world together, l’m always excited to help my students discover new things and become the best version of themselves. I feel incredibly blessed to be part of so many joy journeys . Being a child care teacher isn’t just a job-it’s a passion, a calling, and a way of life. I can’t wait to continue learning and growing with every child I meet. Thank you for letting me share my story with you!

Meet Ms. Jada M. Williams Assistant Director Lead Pre-K Teacher / Gifted Kids Child Care KC Ms. Jada M. Williams brings both heart and dedication to everything she does at Gifted Kids Child Care KC. Born and raised in Mississippi, Jada is a proud graduate of Oxford High School, where she balanced strong academics and a love for learning, graduating in 2020 with a 3.5 GPA. Jada continued her education at Northwest Mississippi Community College, earning her Associate of Arts degree in Biology in 2022. Her passion for understanding people and helping children grow led her to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in African American Studies in 2025. From 2022 to 2024, Ms. Jada gained hands-on experience working with Pre-K and 3rd-grade students in an afterschool program through the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South. There, she discovered her love for guiding young minds, being creative, and turning every day into a learning adventure. Jada’s favorite saying is: “It takes a big heart to shape little minds.” This shines through in her nurturing spirit, thoughtful lessons, and commitment to helping every child feel seen, safe, and celebrated. Whether she’s leading a circle time, encouraging creativity, or cheering on first-time readers, Ms. Jada is here to make a difference-one smile at a time.

At our family-oriented center, we inspire children to unlock their creativity, learn through purposeful play, and develop the confidence they need for school readiness. Through hands-on experiences, we encourage children to create, discover, and explore in a fun and nurturing environment.

At Gifted Kids Child Care KC LLC in Independence, we provide a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
