Philosophy
Joy of Learning Center is designed with the philosophy value as the child being central to their own learning. Children are able to pursue their own interests and revisit and build upon ideas with the support of teachers and interactions with their peers in the center. Our center is designed to help children recognize they have multiple ways of thinking, playing, exploring, speaking and doing. Nature is a huge part of the learning at our center too. We will use nature to fuel our curiosity and play at the center while fulfilling crucial learning of life skills of autonomy, becoming strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. Our philosophy rides on the coattails of the innate curiosity of children and aims to assist them with understanding their world and who they are in it. We will teach them about the Bible and the truths that the Bible teaches us such as loving Jesus, learning bible verses and hearing Bible stories.
Location
We’re in the countryside of the East Buchanan School District; located right off of State Highway E. We have access to 43+ acres of farm and forest grounds where our center is located that we will explore and learn from. We will have an onsite lending library with access to a public library called the Bookmobile that will visit us once every other week. Our center will become known in our area to be one of a kind Farm School in Northwest Missouri.
About our program
At Joy of Learning Farm School LLC in Agency, children not only learn school readiness but crucial life skills in a nurturing environment. Parents are encouraged to be involved, and our hands-on approach sets us apart. With age-integrated groups, every child thrives through interests, discovery and experiential learning. Nature is a huge part of the stimuli that we will use for teaching and learning too.
