Sierra Larson, Provider
Sierra began her work with children at a young age, babysitting for many different families in the area.
She began what she thought was just a summer job at a child care center, but it soon became so much more as Sierra discovered how much she loved teaching and caring for kids. She changed her plans from interior designer to becoming a preschool teacher. While working at the child care center she earned an associates in child development. She than pursed being a papa for 1.5 years before taking the dive into becoming a daycare provider.
Sierra enjoys the ups and downs of all children have to offer and loves seeing them grow and learn new things each day.
Philosophy
I strive to create a safe and caring environment for young explorers. Here at daycare, it is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together. I believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens.
Location
We are located in a nice neighborhood, in the small town of Long Prairie. If you work in town your commute is a short 5-minute drive anywhere in town. We are near a great town park and go on walks around the neighborhood daily, sometimes venturing out to out local library. We have a large backyard with a ton of trees for shade and are excited to be adding a playground and fence to this area in late June.
About our program
While in my care every child will be given the basic needs of food, rest, play, and love. But I also aim to provide every child with adventure, creativity, and exploration. Children are taught daily about letters, shapes, colors, numbers, sharing, emotions and kindness.
