Our Teachers
Adam J. Smith, Director, brings a diverse background and a commitment to providing high-quality childcare services. With a foundation in Computer Electronic Engineering Technology from ITT Technical Institute (2010) and an HVACR Certification earned in 2018, Adam’s skills reflect a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and repair. His experience working with his own grandchildren after his three adult children started families of their own inspired his passion for nurturing young minds and teaching essential life skills. Adam believes that children need more than academic knowledge—they need practical skills to thrive in life. With his guidance, children learn valuable skills in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, helping them grow into capable, self-reliant individuals.
Philosophy
At our school, we believe in nurturing resilient, confident children by engaging them in hands-on activities that build practical survival skills, inspire creativity from the ground up, and encourage a deep connection to nature. We recognize the importance of male role models in our children’s lives, especially when they may be absent in some family settings, and strive to provide positive influences that foster strength, independence, and emotional well-being. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support the development of self-control, independence, and resilience as children prepare to step out into the world with confidence. Whether it’s learning to build something from scratch, understanding nature’s rhythms, or practicing critical thinking in group settings, each activity reinforces that every child has an immense capacity for growth. We guide them to see that their dreams and ideas are within reach, helping to lay the groundwork for success by nurturing their natural creativity and empowering them to realize their potential. With our approach, we aim to equip children with the mental, physical, and emotional tools they need to thrive, both in the classroom and beyond.
About our program
At our school, we embrace the wisdom and presence of fathers and grandfathers, offering hands-on lessons in engineering, mechanics, and problem-solving. We inspire critical thinking and foster independence by integrating real-life experiences into our curriculum. Here, children are not only taught skills, but also how to think creatively, solve challenges, and grow into confident, self-reliant individuals.
