Philosophy

ABC & ME provides a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children ages 0 to 12 years. Our focus is to provide an encouraging, educational experience, promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Committed to the families we serve, we strive to give parents complete peace of mind, while being seen as a shining example of what quality childcare should be.

Location

We’re in the neighborhood of Arthur Hill High School/Chester Miller Elementary School. Chester Miller has a playground, Athur Hill has a track, and there is a dog park that is within walking distance. This neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet.

About our program

Within ABC & ME’S environment, I have added many different play items for the children to explore with. Music is the most adventurous way for me to expose culture to the children that I care for. Each day I set aside a time for music and movement. Within that time, I have multiple different music stations that I use to help expose the children to different music genres. Because music isn’t the only way to add to culture, I also provide food opportunities for the children to taste and explore foods from different cultures, books of multiple different ethnicities and puppets for the children to play with. I utilize our local Resource center to obtain activity bins that are reflective of different cultures and diversity. Another component of providing quality care is that I attend a training that is reflective in nature on diversity or culture annually.
