Our Teachers

Karen Vesprini, Executive Director/CEO

Ms. Karen has been a trained Music Together teacher for over 10 years. She is the mother of four and, while homeschooling her children, developed the Excellence Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wayne State University and is currently completing an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Macomb Community College. Ms. Karen’s accolades also include singer/songwriter, pageant coach and author of the children’s book, “It’s My Potty! Guide to Independence”.

For the past five years, she has served as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, a passion sparked by her personal experience of having home births. During that time, her midwife introduced her to the process of Elimination Communication, which inspired her to become a Potty Guide to Independence Coach.

In 2023, Ms. Karen founded Little Melodies Early Learning and Childcare LLC, a Reggio-inspired program that blends Music & Dance, Arts & Culture, Volunteering, Academics, Etiquette, Culinary & Nutrition, and Emotional Support— all accelerated through imaginative play. Ms. Karen takes a holistic approach to early learning, believing that children thrive when they are healthy, happy, and free.

Philosophy

Little Melodies Early Learning and Childcare LLC’s., philosophy starts with the premise that music learning supports all learning. We offer an exclusive, unique, one-of- a kind education, that is based on Gratitude, Scholastics, Creativity and Music. Experiences from birth to eight years old affect the development of the brain’s architecture, which provides the foundation for all future learning behavior and health. We endow a strong foundation with a nurturing approach, which helps children develop the skills they need to be viable adults.

About our program

At Little Melodies Early Learning and Childcare LLC, we are here to cultivate the genius in every child. We live this daily by integrating Music Together, and Reggio Emilia to provide young children an exceptional learning experience that nurtures personal discovery, social and emotional learning, as well as the development of life skills. The unique combination of methodologies allows our teachers to facilitate creative play-based daily activities in ways that authentically extend into home life. We educate in the concepts of literacy, math, science, art, nutrition, agriculture, culture, language, and problem-solving, through our imaginative play-based, and music-led curriculum. The integration also produces an environment of endless possibilities, in which productive group dynamics assists children in taking leadership and learning how to become effective contributors to the community. Little Melodies is also the only Music Together In-School Program in the Metro area.
