Philosophy

A Montessori Early Childhood classroom has highly trained teachers that create a customized environment that’s crafted to their unique abilities, interests, and learning style.

With a “hands-on” approach, Dr. Maria Montessori believed that moving and learning are inseparable. In the prepared classroom, children work with specially designed manipulative materials that invite exploration and engage the senses in the process of learning.

Uninterrupted blocks of working time allows the children to work at their own pace and fully immerse themselves in an activity without interruption. Your child’s work cycle involves selecting an activity, performing it for as long as it remains interesting, cleaning up the activity, returning it to the shelf, and making another work choice. This cycle respects individual variations in the learning process, facilitates the development of coordination, concentration, independence, and a sense or order.

Location

Our campus is on the corner of Grossbeck and N. Rose rd. We are in a prime area with extra curricular activities done at the Mt. Clemens Ice Arena, and family resource center.

About our program

Early Knowledge Montessori is an early educational facility that uses the Montessori curriculum for ages 2 through 6 years old. We provide daily breakfast, snack and lunch. We will guide and nurture your child in a dynamic learning environment. We believe our center environment encourages a child’s natural desire to learn. Our classrooms will provide each student the “freedom of choice” in order to maximize their learning process. This leads to a sound academic foundation of deep thinking, problem- solving, and cooperative learning skills.
