Our Teachers

Tasha Taylor, Director

I have worked in early childhood since 1997 when I began operating a family group home and I became licensed to care for unrelated children in 2017. I hold two Associate’s Degrees, the first in Psychology and another in Child Development, which I obtained in 2012 and 2013. I spent over 12 years volunteering in local schools, churches, and nonprofits to learn about stages of social emotional learning and how it relates to child development.

Location

You can find us in the Burton Heights area near Garfield Park! We have a fenced in backyard that offers children room to run and play! Child safety and well being is our top priority and we have a 24/7 camera security system along with a strict no smoking policy on the property. We are a pet free location and are Christian based.

About our program

At our program, we focus on early readiness to ensure that when our children leave for Head Start or Kindergarten, they have their fundamentals and are prepared for success. This includes recognizing their name in writing, have their basic ABCs and numbers, and age appropriate additional skills. In addition, I put a large focus on social emotional learning and helping children of all ages and stages connect with each other. This helps grow the whole child and prepare them for their future after they leave Taylor Totts.
