My name is Cherise, and I am the owner and primary childcare provider of Reese’s Little Haven. I am a licensed family childcare provider and complete the required trainings needed to meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements.
I have over 33 years of hands-on childcare and parenting experience. My experience comes not only from my licensed program, but also from my life experience as a mother of four adult children and grandmother of nine grandchildren. I was also a licensed foster parent and had the blessing of adopting my youngest son. Over the years, I have cared for and supported nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and the children of family and friends.
I provide a safe, loving and nurturing home-like environment where children can learn through play, daily routines, hands-on activities, and positive guidance. My goal is to help children feel loved, confident, independent, and ready to grow.
At this time, I am the primary caregiver for my program. If staff or volunteers are added in the future, they will meet required background checks, training, and childcare licensing requirements.

About our program
At Reese’s Little Haven🏠 in Detroit, children are welcomed into a safe, loving, and nurturing family childcare home where they can feel comfortable, supported, and valued. As the owner and primary provider, I create a warm, home-like environment where children learn through play, daily routines, hands-on activities, music, story time, creative expression, outdoor play, and positive guidance.
Our program supports basic early learning skills such as ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes, early literacy, music, fine motor skills, social skills, and age-appropriate hands-on learning. What makes Reese’s Little Haven🏠 unique is the family-centered care, patience, love, and personal attention each child receives.
Our program does not focus on holiday or birthday celebrations. Instead, we enjoy age-appropriate seasonal learning experiences based on the four seasons, nature, weather, creativity, and everyday learning moments in a respectful, non-religious way.
My goal is to help children build confidence, independence, kindness, social skills, and a love for learning while partnering with families through open communication and dependable care.
