Our Teachers
Tangarenee Toney serves as Co-Program Director, bringing a diverse background in public service and entrepreneurship to our team. As a business owner, Tangarenee leverages her operational expertise to ensure a high-quality childcare experience for every family. She is CPR-certified and has completed specialized coursework in childhood health and safety. Her decade of experience volunteering with Head Start programs, combined with her journey raising four sons, fuels her deep passion for Early Childhood Development.
Philosophy

At Kid-E-College Prep, we’ve designed a ‘home away from home’ child care center where learning is an intentional adventure. We provide a space where every child is empowered to thrive through curiosity-led discovery and a supportive, research-based learning environment. Our play-based curriculum focuses on the ‘whole child,’ integrating creative arts and hands-on science to spark a lifelong passion for discovery. To maintain the highest standard of care, our educators engage in continuous professional development, ensuring they remain experts in the evolving developmental and emotional needs of our students. Our Detroit location at 21350 West 7 Mile Road, MI 48219 offers easy access via Southfield Freeway, I-96, Telegraph Road, and public transportation. Children enjoy a spacious, fenced outdoor play area and a variety of age-appropriate toys and activities that promote socialization, physical activity, and learning.
