With over 18 years of experience as an educator, I am passionate about creating nurturing, supportive, and inclusive environments where all children can thrive. I currently serve as a Lead GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) teacher, working closely with preschool-aged children to prepare them for a successful start in school.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have been a Licensed Foster Parent with DHHS for 25 years, providing care and stability to children of all ages, including those with special needs. My deep commitment to child development and family support has shaped my approach to early learning—meeting each child where they are and helping them grow with patience, encouragement, and love.

At Glynis’s Place One, we believe in meeting children where they are—educationally, emotionally, physically, and in any other challenging circumstances they may face. Every child is unique, and we are committed to nurturing their growth in a way that honors their individual journey.
Our program is built on the foundation of the High Scope curriculum, which supports whole-child development through hands-on learning, intentional teaching, and a focus on social-emotional well-being. We create a safe, inclusive, and responsive environment where children can thrive, build confidence, and develop the skills they need for lifelong learning.

About our program
Welcome to Glynis’s Place One, where children grow, learn, and thrive through play! We proudly serve children from 12 months to 12 years old, offering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment designed to support every stage of development.
Our program is rooted in a play-based philosophy, where learning happens naturally through exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences. We believe that play is the foundation for developing confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
We are open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing families with flexible and reliable care. Children in our program are provided with nutritious meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day.
We proudly accept subsidized care and welcome families from all backgrounds. At Glynis’s Place One, we are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive space where every child feels seen, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.
