Our Teachers

My name is Kaitlyn and I looking forward to having you and your child join us at Just Like Home Family Daycare. I have worked in Early Childhood Education since 2015. I hold an A.A.S. in Early Childhood Education, an A.A. in Psychology, a Certificate in General Studies, and a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am First Aid, CPR, and Infant Safe Sleep Certified. I also possess over two hundred credit hours from the Childcare Education Institute in areas like ADHD, Special Needs, Toddler development, and more.

Philosophy

At Just Like Home Family Daycare, the onboarding philosophy is inspired by the Montessori Method, promoting independence, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking. Children are encouraged to explore their unique personalities through play and collaboration. The additional philosophy emphasizes the significance of movement in learning, mastery over grades, intrinsic motivation, and collaborative learning. Each child is supported in learning at their developmental level and taking pride in their accomplishments, while also guiding their peers in mastering skills.

About our program

Welcome to Just Like Home Family Daycare! Just Like Home Family Daycare uses many tools from the Montessori Method developed by Italian Dr. Maria Montessori. The Montessori Method allows children to be observed and supported during the natural stages of child development, while promoting independence, problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, and even time-management skills. Children are also encouraged to explore their individual unique personalities through informal teaching methods, such as play and collaboration. As your Daycare Provider, I will ensure your child is provided high-quality care, as well as exposed to high-quality learning experiences during their time with me. I designed the Just Like Home environment to build a strong and balanced learning foundation for every child. Our goal is to provide a nurturing, fun and loving environment with a research-based curriculum that ultimately helps children become confident learners.
