Our Teachers
I have my degree in Early Childhood Development and have been in early childhood education (daycares, foster parent, etc.) since 1996 (almost 30 years of experience!). I am mother of 3 children, 1 grown & 2 still at home. I am certified to care with special needs children, have worked as a substitute teacher, and have been caring for own child with special needs as well. Opening this program allows me to care for my child and others. Working with children is the thing I love the most.
Philosophy
Children learn through play. We help prepare children for a school setting (Head Start programs, preschool, etc.). Our program has different areas for children to explore. We will have time for independent work & group activities. Even the youngest children in our care are always learning! We have a routine of the day which includes learning indoors & outdoors, as we recognize the importance of a structured learning environment (while also allowing for free & independent play). We know children learn through discovery!
Location
We are located at a dead end with a private-fenced in huge backyard. We are located in Bridgeport in a safe and quiet neighborhood. We are in the Bridgeport School District area.
About our program
We strive to be your child’s home away from home. This is a place where children come to learn, and where they will receive healthy, home-cooked meals. We know how important it is for children to feel comfortable, so our environment is warm, friendly & welcoming to everyone.
