Our Teachers

My name is Taneka Thomas and I have 16 years of experience working in the early childhood field and over 10 years of experience supporting youth and families. I have developed and implemented different support programs for single parents and parents in general to benefit the lives of their families and their children. Through this, I have seen the need for quality care for young children and I am so excited to be opening this center to support the community.

Philosophy

Children learn better in a safe, nurturing environment where they are able to learn and have fun engaging in developmental play-based, child-centered learning experiences. While in the care of our center, staff members will strive to:  Provide a safe, healthy, nurturing, and challenging learning environment.  Encourage discovery-learning and exploration of the world around us.  Promote a positive sense of self-worth.  Promote a sense of mastery, trust, and autonomy.  Advance children’s physical, intellectual, and academic competence.  Support children’s social and emotional development.  Establish positive and productive relationships with families.

Location

Our center is located in the Albion area and will be conveniently located about 5 minutes away from the 121 exit.

About our program

Serving children aged six weeks to 12 years, this center will operate year-round on a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6am to 6pm. There will be an infant classroom, toddler classroom, a two year old classroom, two preschooler classrooms; and a large gymnasium that the children will have access to. The center will operate all year round with part-time and full-time options. We’d love to learn more about your family and welcome you to our community!

We are taking donations to help furnish our classrooms. Learn more about the option to donate here:
