HOLA SOY NORA!
Thank you for considering my services for your child.
I started this business in 1993, to provide quality, reliable daycare for my own children. My Family Childcare is licensed by the Office of Child Care Licensing and Regulation of the state of Maryland. My childcare is a multicultural and bilingual program for children between 6 weeks and 5 years of age.
My objective is to offer parents a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where they may leave their children for childcare, and where children will be able to speak and learn Spanish in addition to English.
When I went to college in Mexico City, I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Child Psychology for 4 years. That’s when I decided to move to the States. When my second child was born, I was faced with a dilemma- in our country; your mother usually takes care of your children. Unfortunately, my mother was not here to help me. That is when I decided to start a childcare program. Ever since I started being a childcare provider, I have loved every second of it.
I am experienced in early childhood care and pre-k education, and I am certified in CPR and First Aid/AED. I participated in Maryland Child Care Credential and Maryland Excels. I completed my CDA. I am part of the committee of the LCAM. (Latin Childcare Association of Maryland). I am required by MCCA to complete 20 hours of in-service training per year. I am allowed (according to MCCA licensing) to have up to 8 children under 12. I am an MCCA (Maryland Child Care Association) licensed Day Care Home.
Please feel free to discuss any questions or concerns you may have at any time. BIENVENIDOS a Kid’s Corner Bilingual!

About our program
As an Educator I know that at each stage of life, children take on special developmental tasks and challenges related to their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. For infants and two’s, developmental occurs in all of these areas as they use their senses to gain a sense of security and identity and to explore the people and objects in their world. For this reason, I believe that the key to meeting the developmental needs of infants and two’s is to build a responsive relationship between children and adults. INFANTS BRAIN CONNECT INFANT CURRICULUM Your baby is unique, and so is our infant curriculum. Brain Connect, our exclusive infant curriculum, is designed around the 5 standards of brain development, and ensures your baby progresses toward these important developmental goals:
- Critical thinking
- Language
- Movement
- Relationships
- Sensory
We’ve created 1000s of play-based activities based on these 5 components of brain development. Each activity is designed for a specific learning purpose.
• Each week your primary caregiver will create an individualized lesson plan for your baby.
• The lesson plan is unique to your child, with at least 6 activities geared towards your child’s interests and development goals.
• A new lesson plan is created weekly, though some activities may be repeated.
• The lesson plan is posted in the nursery, so you can always review your baby’s weekly plan.
TUMMY TIME Infants spend the majority of their time on their backs (in cribs, car seats, strollers). We practice Tummy Time, allowing them to lay on their stomach while awake and supervised. This helps your baby develop their arm, chest, and neck muscles and promotes motor skills, while also preventing the flattening of the back of the head. Tummy Time also helps your baby build the strength needed for sitting up, rolling over, crawling, and walking.
BABY SIGN LANGUAGE In our infant childcare and early education program, your baby will begin learning and using simple signs. Baby sign language teaches your infant how to express his or her needs and communicate emotions and desires using simple signs and gestures before developing the ability to speak. Ask us about these signs so you can also communicate with your baby at home the same way!
