Testimonials

My son had the best growing experience a young boy could have. He learned and gained independence while in the care of Ms. Ernestine. He never cried when he started his first day.  He adapted to the environment she provided and loves Ms. Long . Matrese R. Williams

Ernestine Long is a committed caretaker and educator of children. She gave my grandson excellent care. He felt love and matured remarkably while attending Children’s Noah Ark. He began at 10 months of age and continued through the beginning elementary school. He is still a member of the family! Ernestine Long provides the best foundational experience.

Sincerely, T. J. Williams

Children’s Noah’s Children’s Noah’s Ark Family Childcare has been a pleasure to work for the last five years. The owner Ms. Ernestine Long Fleming is a great Childcare Professional. She provides an inviting, safe, fun learning environment with emphasis on reaching developmental goals. She continuously adds to her knowledge and tools with professional development and classes. Ms. Long Fleming takes the whole family approach with family engagement activities and uses the Judy Center to refer parents for different family needs (food, diapers, shelter, mental health etc.). The children’s individual needs are met with the curriculum and assessments. With all stages of development being met and the basic needs of the families being met, Children’s Noah’s Ark Family Childcare is a great place for a child to strive and achieve. Plus, with stimulating learning and fun activities, the children love it there.

Philosophy

Our program follows a play-based philosophy, emphasizing children’s learning through exploring new experiences and interests, and engaging in activities that develop social, cognitive, and emotional skills. We prioritize Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics to prepare children for the modern world.

We are dedicated to modeling lifelong learning by actively pursuing continuing education in child development and curriculum-related issues. Our child-centered learning environment and curriculum focus on engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities. We utilize observational tools and techniques approved by MSDE to gather information for parents and guardians.

At The Children’s Noah’s Ark, we value open communication with parents through various channels, including email, written and verbal forms, phone, and parent-teacher conferences. We adhere to Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) advocated by NAEYC, exceeding the quality standards required for licensing in Maryland. Our goal is to provide a positive learning journey that prepares children for future academic success and engages the community in supporting children’s educational goals.

Location

The Children’s Noah’s Ark is located in West Baltimore just above Northern Parkway on Park Heights Ave 21215 area. Located on major bus line and near excellent schools. A multicultural caring community.
