Testimonials

We are so thankful to have found Lisa and Open Arms Child Care. Lisa is extremely organized and cares for each one of the kids like they are her own. Our son was previously at a daycare and he would get so upset every time I dropped him off. Now, he LOVES going to school and playing with his friends and Miss Lisa. She keeps them busy throughout the day and I know our son is learning so much! It’s amazing to watch him blossom! It is difficult to find someone that you trust your child with, but I have NO doubt in my mind that our son is in the best hands while I’m working! Words cannot express our gratitude!

We are absolutely in love with Open Arms Childcare. Lisa is extremely professional, a wonderful teacher, and loves the children. I know my daughter is learning and thriving every day. Lisa plans quality educational activities while also balancing lots of time for the kids to play and explore on their own.

To Whom It May Concern, I am more than proud to recommend Lisa Feldman of Open Arms Daycare. We’ve been with Lisa for 2 years and my child has blossomed completely under her care. Lisa has taken an active role in enhancing all of the children’s education in her care as well as making sure that they get plenty of outdoor time. When my child started with Lisa in 2019, she was nonverbal only saying a couple of words, I feel strongly that because of Lisa and very structured program, my daughter was able to use her voice for not only speaking, but for singing! Lisa has managed to keep all of the children in her care 100% safe during this unprecedented time. Her facility is very clean and for over a year there have been no illnesses other than minor colds and allergies. Lisa is excellent with children of all ages and would make an excellent childcare provider for your family! Sincerely, Heather Rufenacht

We have now sent both of our sons to Lisa! And I have teased that I should have had more kids so we could continue to use Lisa for our provider once both boys go to K! Carson loves going to “school” every day. He enjoys learning new things and playing with his friends. he trust Lisa and you can see how much he loves to learn because of that. He calls Lisa and her family his “best friends” when we talk about them at home. From colors, numbers, letters to independently swinging and much more, Lisa has taught him so much! I am thankful we found Lisa in 2016! And thankful we will have a couple more years of care! I can’t wait to see how much more he will learn!

Our family got so lucky when we found Open Arms Child Care. I was a stay at home mom for 3 years, searched for a daycare provider and as you can imagine very picky to whom we would choose. Lisa set up a meet so we could check things out for ourselves and feel comfortable. Right away we knew this is where our little girl would go. We love how not only does she teach but has so many activities for the kids to keep them busy throughout the day. The Procare app keeps us notified of activities & meals from the minute we sign her in till time for pick up. Couldn’t ask for a better place to send our child. I highly recommend Lisa!! My daughter really enjoys going there so that makes it even that much better :)

My son is only at the daycare one day a week for half a day but he truly enjoys his time there! He always looks forward to it. Lisa always has something fun planned for the kids and works hard to make lesson plans and provide food for the kids. The environment is pleasant and inviting and you feel like you are leaving your child in a safe place. The backyard has a wonderful playground and is guaranteed to give the kids plenty of outdoor fun and activities to do. I love this daycare and the provider, she does an amazing job!

We fell in love with Lisa and her daycare from day one. Here we are almost a year later and still feel the same way. The growth I have seen in my son over this year is out of this world. How involved she is with the kids is beyond anyone’s expectations. I never once have had a concern for my son’s safety or wellbeing. I highly recommend her daycare to anyone I come across.

We have been with Open Arms for almost two years now. Lisa is a nurturing, caring, professional childcare provider. We are over protective parents who seek out the best for our child and this childcare center provides exactly what we are looking for. Lisa takes her role in our child’s life seriously. She provides a safe, play based program with educational goals in mind. She creates a personal relationship with each child and their parents. We feel that our child is well cared for and loved in Lisa’s home daycare. We love the multi aged group of children a small in home daycare can provide. Our daughter has learned a lot from older children in the program and has developed a nurturing spirit towards the younger children. Lisa is always working to make her program the best it can be. She truly has a heart and the knowledge for teaching little ones. We have been very pleased with the services she provides and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a quality day care provider for their family.

There are so many amazing things about Open Arms. We started in June 2016 and have been very pleased with the care that our son has received. He has a lot of fun with all of his friends and his teacher, Mrs. Lisa! When we started daycare, he was not very talkative, and within a few weeks, he was saying new words every few weeks, and now it is just about every day. I am so grateful for all that he has learned and fun he has had.

Open Arms provides a great preschool curriculum in loving home environment. My son has been with Lisa since he was born and he really enjoys being a part of the class. He feels comfortable and has fun learning and playing with his friends.

Philosophy

My philosophy at Open Arms is that learning is ongoing. Learning occurs every minute of the day with planned and unplanned activities. Open Arms curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate from infancy through school age. Open Arms encourage social, emotional, and physical development every day. My program focuses on play and free choice for each child along with a few teacher directed activities. My home daycare strives for a safe and nurturing environment for children to play and grow.

About our program

I provide a variety of opportunities for children to develop their physical, cognitive, language, and social and emotional skills, as well as, language and literacy, mathematical thinking, scientific thinking, social studies, physical development health, and the arts.

I promote flex-learning within a structured daily schedule. Flex-learning give the children room for unstructured learning, creativity, and informal group and individual play. Flex-learning leads to independence, self-confidence, self-control, and a sense of responsibility.

Daily sheets are provided, by Procare app, for children who are in all day care.

Free date night 4 times a year for children enrolled in my program.
