About our program
At Munchkin Land Daycare & Preschool our philosophy is to provide a safe and inviting learning environment where children can learn through real life experiences. We use a thematic curriculum with planned preschool activities for infants through school age children. Our teachers use developmental assessments and the foundations to track development of children. We use these assessments to plan group and individual goals for the children. We focus on developing the whole child, and the children are given many learning opportunities throughout the day, not just during preschool hours. We plan meaningful one on one interactions with each child daily, this one on one time is used implement intentional interactions based on the child’s current goals. I believe that children learn by seeing, touching, and hearing real objects and people. Each child will to gain physical, emotional, social and intellectual development in a stimulating learn through play environment. We respect each child’s feelings, ideas, and materials by creating an environment where each child feels safe, accepted, and protected. I’ve always strived for my program to be a place where children love to come and play, and while they are playing we will teach them!
