Our Teachers

Desiree Henderson, Owner / Licensed Provider and Director

Desiree earned her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University East and her Master of Business Administration from Purdue Global. Prior to entering the childcare field, Desiree worked for several years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and brings over 10 years of professional experience in Human Resources.

Desiree has continued her education with additional college coursework in Early Childhood Education and has more than four years of experience as a licensed foster parent. Her childcare journey began with an in-home program, expanded into a small center, and has continued to grow into the current location to better serve families and accommodate increased enrollment while maintaining high-quality care.

At Enchanted Beginnings & Preschool, our staff is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for every child. All team members maintain current CPR and First Aid certification and complete required training in Safe Sleep practices and Child Abuse and Neglect prevention. Staff participate in ongoing professional development throughout the year to meet and exceed Indiana licensing requirements and to continuously enhance the quality of care and education we provide.

Philosophy

At Enchanted Beginnings & Preschool, LLC, we believe that early childhood is a critical time for growth, discovery, and building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Location

We are located in the heart of Downtown Lafayette. We are located within walking distance to the Tippecanoe County Courthouse and other downtown businesses. We are also minutes away from the Purdue University campus and West Lafayette. We are conveniently located next to the City Bus terminal for easy access to public transportation!
