She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. In Room 2 our Lead Teacher is Beth Klein. Mrs. Beth has been teaching at our center for 4 years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development at Ball State. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Philosophy

We believe children construct knowledge (learn) through a wide variety of rich, meaningful experiences with adults, peers (other children) and materials.   We believe parents are the first and primary teachers of their children. Therefore, parent engagement is vital in every aspect of our efforts to enrich each child’s life. We believe each child and family is unique. By serving the whole family, we are enriching the child’s life as well as developing a positive self-image for the family as a whole.

Location

We are located in the lower level of Lutheran Life Villages. It is a very quiet area. Our location allows us to participate in intergenerational activities with the residents of Lutheran Life Villages. These activities are very exciting for the residents and our students!

About our program

Our program is all about preparing our students for a successful future. Our program is different because we also develop partnerships with each family so as the children grow and learn so do the parents. Our program is a free full day program for families that qualify. We are Indiana state licensed, NAEYC accredited and Paths to Quality Level 4. We utilize the Frog Street Curriculum, Conscious Discipline Practices and AIM assessment in our classrooms. Our practices assist our teachers in preparing each of our students for kindergarten and their future while meeting each child at their individualized level and skills.
