Philosophy
At Alicia’s Angels Family Childcare, we embrace the philosophy that play is the foundation of learning for young children. We believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in hands-on experiences that are meaningful and relevant to their lives. Therefore, our program is centered around a play-based approach to early childhood education.
Play is a natural and instinctive behavior for children, and it serves as a powerful tool for their development. It allows them to explore, experiment, and make sense of the world around them. Through play, children develop important cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills that lay the groundwork for future learning and success.
In our play-based program, we create a rich and stimulating environment that encourages children to follow their natural curiosity and interests. We provide a wide range of materials, toys, and open-ended activities that foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Children are given the freedom to explore, make choices, and take ownership of their learning experiences.
Our teachers serve as facilitators, guiding and supporting children’s play. They observe and listen attentively, seizing opportunities to extend learning, ask thought-provoking questions, and provide guidance when needed. Through this approach, we honor and respect each child’s unique learning style and individual pace of development.
