Our Teachers

As a childcare professional with three years of experience, my journey into this field has been deeply rooted in my passion for helping youth and contributing to our community. Prior to my career in childcare, I served as a deputy for the sheriff department, where I gained valuable skills in maintaining safety and security. However, being a mother of six has always been my greatest joy and source of inspiration.

My decision to transition into childcare was driven by my desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children and create a safe and nurturing environment for them to grow and thrive. I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore, learn, and develop in a setting that supports their unique needs and interests.

Throughout my years in childcare, I have taken great pride in my role as a caregiver and mentor. I strive to create a safe space where children feel comfortable, loved, and encouraged to express themselves freely. Building strong relationships with both the children and their families is a fundamental aspect of my approach. By fostering open communication and trust, I aim to collaborate with parents to ensure their child’s holistic development.

In my journey as a childcare provider, I have witnessed firsthand the immense impact that a supportive and nurturing environment can have on a child’s growth. I am dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging, promoting social and emotional development, and fostering a love for learning in each child I have the privilege to work with.

In addition to providing a caring environment, I believe in the importance of creating enriching experiences for children. I organize engaging activities that stimulate their curiosity and creativity, while also encouraging them to explore their interests and talents. Whether it’s through art, music, storytelling, or outdoor play, I strive to create an environment that ignites their passion for learning and self-expression.

As a childcare professional, I am committed to ongoing learning and professional development. I stay informed about the latest research and best practices in early childhood education, ensuring that I provide the highest quality care for the children entrusted to me. I am also dedicated to collaborating with other professionals, attending workshops, and seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills.

Overall, my experience in childcare has been incredibly rewarding. Being able to combine my love for children, my background in law enforcement, and my role as a mother has given me a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the importance of creating a safe and supportive community for all. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and well-being of the children I serve, and I look forward to continuing this fulfilling journey in childcare for years to come.

Philosophy

In my program, I create a safe and stimulating environment where children can freely engage in play. I strive to provide a wide range of materials, toys, and open-ended resources that encourage exploration and experimentation. These resources are carefully selected to support their interests and developmental needs, allowing them to choose their own path and direct their own play experiences.

I see myself as a facilitator and co-player in the children’s play. I observe, listen, and engage with them, encouraging their ideas, questions, and discoveries. By actively participating in their play, I build strong relationships based on trust and respect. I believe that these connections lay the foundation for meaningful learning experiences and help children develop a positive self-image.

In my play-based program, I understand the importance of both structured and unstructured play. While structured activities can introduce new concepts and skills, unstructured play provides children with the freedom to express themselves, solve problems, and make decisions independently. I create a balance between these two types of play, allowing children to have a sense of ownership over their learning while also introducing them to new ideas and experiences.
