Philosophy

At Julie’s Daycare, we believe in a play-based philosophy of early childhood education. We understand that play is a child’s natural way of learning and exploring the world around them, and we use play as a means to foster the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child in our care.

Our play-based approach recognizes that every child is unique and that each child learns at their own pace and in their own way. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore their interests and engage in hands-on learning experiences that promote problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and social skills.

We believe that children learn best through play that is child-directed, child-initiated, and child-centered. Our teachers are trained to observe and listen to children to understand their needs and interests, and to use this information to create meaningful learning experiences that build on their strengths and promote their development.

We provide a variety of play-based activities and materials, including blocks, puzzles, books, music, art, and outdoor play equipment. These activities are designed to promote exploration, discovery, and imagination, and to provide children with a rich and stimulating learning environment.

At Julie’s Daycare, we recognize the importance of fostering positive relationships between children and their teachers and peers. We encourage children to collaborate, communicate, and problem-solve together, and we provide opportunities for children to develop empathy, respect, and a sense of community.
