Our Teachers

Maria Torres, Director

Maria Torres earned her GED at Elkhart in 2005, and later in 2018 she got her CDA credential. In 2008 he opened her first daycare which he called “La casa de los ninos” this was because the house where he obtained his first license was always full of her children and nephews, they spent a lot of time with her which she enjoyed a lot. She believes that all children are born diamonds, some more polished, some with a lot to polish, but all with their original value. In La casa de los ninos the priority is always them and the most important thing is to provide an environment where children feel comfortable and can discover their own tools and abilities and this will result in physically and emotionally healthy children. She doesn’t see herself in another field. As a director spending time with the kids and the teachers are something that she truly enjoys. In 2023 La casa de los ninos VIII and IX were inagurated.

Philosophy

We believe that each child is a unique individual and that all children can learn. La casa de los ninos daycare offers the opportunity for every kid to feel included recognizing children’s varied abilities, interests, needs, and learning styles. We believe children learn best through meaningful play.

About our program

Our program follows a daily routine based on kids’ daily observations. We develop topics to scaffold their knowledge experience e interest. We were invited to have open-ended conversations. But overall our priority is to make the kids have a trustful family feeling and a welcoming warm environment.
