Our Teachers

Our teaching team is deeply committed to lifelong learning and ongoing professional development, ensuring they remain leaders in the field of early childhood education. Through the HighScope curriculum, our teachers serve as partners in each child’s learning; encouraging independence while thoughtfully scaffolding experiences and nurturing individual interests.

Using authentic assessment practices and strong collaboration with families, our educators cultivate a meaningful sense of community and a consistent home-to-school connection throughout the year. When you speak with current or former ELC families, it’s no surprise that our teachers are often the first thing they celebrate.

Philosophy

The Early Learning Center is deeply committed to honoring childhood and the essential role of play. We partner with children in their learning, creating a collaborative environment where they can shine as they grow in independence and autonomy.

We value outdoor exploration, ensuring children spend at least an hour outside each day—rain, shine, mud, or snow. Through research-based practices, our educators work closely with families, sharing daily highlights and inviting them into the life of the school through classroom visits, family workshops, and community-wide events.

Intergenerational relationships flourish through both organic and intentional experiences, enriched by the expansive Hubbard Hill campus. “We partner with families to raise joyful, curious, caring children in a faith-filled community of lifelong learners.”

Location

Our state-of-the-arts early childhood school is located on the expansive campus of Hubbard Hill Living Wisdom Community right off of SR 19 and the US20 bypass in Elkhart, IN, creating convenient routes to South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, Goshen, and surrounding communities.

About our program
