Our Teachers

I am a licensed provider for 35 years. I participate in Steps to Quality and am currently a 5-star program.
I have 28 credits in Early Childhood Education and over 400 hours of training through Idaho Stars, and 545 hours through the state of Oregon. I enjoy family childcare because it gives children a close-knit community and builds long-lasting friendships.

Philosophy

My childcare philosophy revolves around providing a semi-structured environment where children learn through play, encompassing individual and group activities, supervised free time, and outdoor play. Daily activities focus on early learning skills like letters, numbers, colors, shapes, life skills, and social-emotional awareness, all through age-appropriate methods. I believe in nurturing each child’s uniqueness in a safe and secure environment, fostering self-esteem. Through hands-on play and discovery, I facilitate informal education to encourage learning. Collaborating with parents to understand their expectations and being open to feedback is crucial. Establishing effective communication and a strong parent-provider relationship is vital for the well-being of the child.

Location

Easy access to 84, Boise/Meridian border, Overland and Cloverdale area.

About our program

I appreciate your interest in my childcare program! I believe that all children are special and unique. It is my goal to provide children with a safe environment that nurtures self-esteem and security. I provide an informal education program, lead by the children’s interests, to promote learning through hands-on play and discovery. I encourage parents to discuss expectations they have and/or want for their child and myself. I am always open to any feedback about myself as a provider. It is essential that parents and providers communicate together and establish a good relationship, which is in everyone’s best interest, especially the Child.
