Our Teachers

Our Director, Trudy has been working with children for over 39 years. She loves watching kids get excited about learning, being receptive to new ideas and seeing them soak up the world around them, like little sponges. The most rewarding part of her job is recieving her “5 hugs per day” from kids who are just happy to be in her program. Her work has brought her much joy. Our director holds a Bachelors of Mathematics and Spanish and a Master’s Degree in Billingual Education. She is a member of the IDAEYC.

Philosophy

Our curriculum is based on the High/Scope and Creative Curriculum, which are both “active learning” and constructivist educational as well as child-centered approaches. Active learning means students direct experiential learning or “hands-on” experiences with people, objects, events, and ideas. Children’s choices are at the heart of High/Scope and Creative Curriculum programs. They construct their knowledge through interractions with the world and people around them. Children take the first step of the learning process by making choices and following through on their plans and decisions. Teachers, caregivers, and parents offer emotional and intellectual support. In active learning settings, we expand children’s thinking with diverse materials and nurturing interactions.

Location

We are located close to the Orchard exit of I-84 for easy access. We also offer transportation to Whitney and Whittier Elementary Schools. Phillippe park is walking distace from our location, which is perfect for play days at the park.

About our program

We are a Spanish immersion preschool that serves those in the Treasure Valley who wish their children to get the best of preschool learning plus a huge head start learning Spanish. It is entirely feasible for a child to become fluent in Spanish through participation in our preschool. Becoming bilingual will have numerous lifetime benefits for your child including better performance in school and on standardized tests, improved logical thinking ability, better cultural awareness, more job opportunities, higher pay, and many more. Starting in preschool or earlier provides the easiest and fastest environment for children to learn a second language!

Our curriculum is based on the High/Scope educational approach and the Natural Approach theory for language acquisition.
