Augusta Sanchez is the Director of Daycare Little Giants and has 12 years of experience working with children. Augusta has 3 adult children, one of which sometimes assists with the children in her daycare (Mayta).
Augusta started Daycare Little Giants because she saw the great need of friends seeking child care for their children, and also related to the need to find quality, safe childcare for her own children in the past. When she lost her previous job due to the factory closing, she visited a daycare to see how opening up a child care business works. She fell in love with the opportunity and with the help of her daughter and others, opened up Daycare Little Giants.
Augusta Sánchez es la directora de la guardería Little Giants y tiene 12 años de experiencia trabajando con niños. Augusta tiene 3 hijos adultos, uno de los cuales (Mayte) a veces ayuda con los niños en su guardería.
Augusta comenzó la guardería Little Giants porque vio la gran necesidad de amigos que buscaban cuidado infantil para sus hijos, y también se relacionó con la necesidad de encontrar cuidado infantil seguro y de calidad para sus propios hijos en el pasado. Cuando perdió su trabajo anterior debido al cierre de la fábrica, visitó una guardería para ver cómo funciona la apertura de un negocio de cuidado infantil. Se enamoró de la oportunidad y con la ayuda de su hija y otras, abrió Daycare Little Giants.

Philosophy
We focus on age-appropriate learning so children know the foundations such as ABCs and colors. We enjoy singing and reading together daily, and we also prioritize following routines to help children know what to expect such as nap time. For older children, we also help with other subjects such as math.
Nos enfocamos en el aprendizaje apropiado para la edad para que los niños conozcan los fundamentos, como el ABC y los colores. Disfrutamos cantar y leer juntos todos los días, y también priorizamos seguir rutinas para ayudar a los niños a saber qué esperar, como la hora de la siesta. About our program
Daycare Little Giants opened its doors in 2012 and is a family child care in Augusta Sanchez’s home. We focus on play-based learning and hands-on activities to help children learn from the world around them.
