Our Teachers

The center’s director brings over 25 years of experience in childcare, having worked her way from assistant teacher to lead teacher, and now serving as both director and VPK teacher at Early Learning Connections. She and her husband, who manages the kitchen and facilities, have five adult children and eight grandchildren, some of whom attend the center. Known affectionately as “Grandma” and “Grandpa” by the students, they foster a family-like atmosphere where love, care, and attention to each child’s needs are paramount.

The staff at the center are a compassionate and experienced group, many of whom are mothers and grandmothers themselves. They work together to provide a nurturing environment where children can grow emotionally, socially, and academically. With a holistic approach to early childhood education, the team is committed to preparing every child for success, focusing not only on academics but also on developing well-rounded, confident individuals. Their years of experience, combined with their shared passion for helping children thrive, make Early Learning Connections a trusted and caring community for young learners.

Philosophy

At Early Learning Connections, our program is designed to serve both early childhood learners and school-age children, offering care and education for children from infancy through age 12. Whether it’s preparing young children for kindergarten or providing enriching after-school care for older children, our approach focuses on nurturing the whole child—emotionally, socially, and academically—at every stage of their development.

For our early childhood program, we follow a structured curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten while also supporting their emotional and social growth in a safe, family-like environment. Our team of experienced educators understand the importance of individualized attention and care for these young learners. We foster strong connections between children, parents, teachers, and the community to ensure each child thrives holistically.

For school-age children, ages 5 to 12, we offer engaging after-school programs that focus on academic support, social skills, and personal development. We provide a safe and supportive space where children can complete homework, participate in enriching activities, and build friendships, all under the guidance of caring staff.

Across all age groups, our program values emphasize connection, community, and holistic growth. We provide services such as transportation, nutritious daily meals, and access to community resources to support our families. Whether your child is starting their early education journey or participating in our after-school program, our goal is to empower them with the tools they need for success, both academically and personally, in a warm and nurturing environment.

We’re also situated near public transportation options, which makes it easy for parents who rely on buses or prefer to walk.

Our location offers a great environment for children. We are within walking distance of several nearby schools, making it convenient for parents with school-age children. Additionally, we have a large playground area where children can play and explore in a safe, secure space. Our neighborhood is family-friendly, with parks and community spaces close by, further enhancing the sense of community that we strive to build at our center.
