Philosophy

Montessori Home is an early childhood education program inspired by the teachings and philosophy of Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and educator. It aims to create an environment that fosters independence, self-discipline, and a lifelong love for learning in young children.

At the core of the Montessori Home philosophy is the belief that children possess an innate curiosity and natural desire to learn. The program recognizes the importance of providing children with an environment that supports their development and allows them to explore and discover the world at their own pace.

In a Montessori Home, the physical space is carefully designed to cater to the specific needs and abilities of young children. It is filled with a wide range of age-appropriate materials and activities that encourage hands-on learning and promote sensory exploration. These materials are carefully selected to stimulate the child’s senses and support the development of fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, and social interaction.

One of the fundamental principles of Montessori Home is the concept of “freedom within limits.” Children are given the freedom to choose their activities and work independently, allowing them to develop a sense of autonomy and decision-making skills. However, this freedom is provided within a structured framework of rules and guidelines that ensure a safe and respectful environment for all.

Location

Our program is located in a single family home, in a quiet residential neighborhood. We have a spacious back yard for the children to play in! We love spending time outside!

At Montessori Home our mission is to recognize your child’s inner need and to bring out their individual potential Small montessori classroom with teacher : Student ratio 1:6 giving one on one attention.
Montessori Directress teacher has a montessori diploma for birth to six year with teaching experience of 26+ years. We are licensed with DCF (Department of Children and families ) offering Free VPK, Pre K Pre School School Readiness 4C Montessori Home has been in Bussiness serving families since 2005 Schedule a tour and become part of our Montessori Family.
