Our Teachers

Mari Culver’s journey in childcare began as a teenage mother volunteering at Kim’s Care daycare. Her natural ability to connect with children quickly led to a five-year role as a preschool assistant teacher. While working, she earned her Associate Degree in Health Science and obtained her medical certification.

Mari later became a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), working with children with autism and other neurodiverse needs. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, combining her academic knowledge with hands-on experience to support children’s emotional and behavioral development.

Mari is intentional in every interaction and believes:

“To keep children, you must be able to navigate their uniqueness and differences.”

Her calm, patient, and thoughtful approach helps create a space where all children feel safe, understood, and empowered to thrive.

Mari is also a Volunteer Youth Director at her local church organization and offers support to young children and mothers actively.

Philosophy

At Motherly Care Daycare, we are deeply committed to supporting successful learning for every child—academically, socially, and emotionally. We understand that children learn best when they feel confident, safe, and supported, so our teaching approach is grounded in meeting children where they are developmentally.

We believe that learning happens at each child’s natural pace. We do not rush progress or pressure milestones—instead, we provide age-appropriate, daily educational activities that gently challenge and encourage children to grow. Our curriculum is designed to lay a strong foundation in early literacy, math, problem-solving, and social skills, ensuring children are well-prepared for preschool and beyond.

Mari Culver’s teaching style centers on intentionality and responsiveness. She works to ensure every child knows they are capable and that their learning matters. Children in our care feel seen and supported—because we believe in them first, and that belief fuels their confidence to succeed.

While we maintain a consistent daily routine, we also stay flexible—adjusting to children’s moods, energy, and readiness to learn. We design our environment and curriculum so that children feel ownership in their learning journey, making school a place they want to be.

Simply put: we curate a space where children can thrive academically and socially, and where learning feels natural, joyful, and achievable.
