Location
Le Jardin is close to access to Krome Avenue, near City of Homestead Parks, City of Homestead Trolley services (free), bus stop locations, and a short drive to US1 and the Florida Turnpike. The center is nestled in an older neighborhood along with small businesses. Since M.A.S.T. Academy in Homestead is next-door, Le Jardin has developed a partnership with the school.
About our program
Le Jardin Head Start’s mission promotes the school readiness of young children from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Head Start and Early Head Start give children and their families the tools to be successful in school and later in life.
At Le Jardin, infants and toddlers have safe, nurturing, and stimulating classrooms that prepare them for preschool. Le Jardin HS preschool children enter kindergarten with advanced knowledge in reading and math. The Head Start program takes an innovative approach to school readiness by forming healthy nutritional habits and encouraging children to develop their social and emotional skills. Le Jardin understands the importance of parent involvement and encourages families to become hands-on through regular volunteering opportunities and special activities. Head Start and Early Head Start programs also link children and families to other services in the community to improve their quality of life. Our goal is to continue improving the quality of life for children and families in our community while providing the tools for them to become our future doctors, scientists, businessmen, and women.
