Hi! My name is Ericka and I am the founder of Miss. Ericka’s Wonderschool. I’m a parent and experienced daycare provider and educator. I have worked with many different age groups for over 15 years. My last place of employment I was a preschool teacher for 7 years and prior to that a teacher’s assistant in an infant room for 2 years.
I graduated last year in 2018 from Merritt College with my AA in Child Development and obtained certificates for Infant Toddler Specialist, Teacher’s Aide, Teacher’s Assistant and Teacher. I also have 22 hours of Professional Growth Training with certificates. I love working with children and have been since I was 14 years old.

Philosophy
At Miss. Ericka’s Wonderschool, we work everyday to build the necessary foundation for a successful child. We believe that children are able to lead their own discovery. This will help develop curiosity, independence and a love for learning. We hope to also support each child in their social-emotional development so they can understand feelings, have conversations and make friends!
Location
Miss. Ericka’s is located in a quaint apartment in Union City conveniently located to major access roads. My goal is to create a very homey feeling for your child. This way they feel comfortable spending their day with me and the other children!
Children will spend time outdoors daily at a local park or playground. Fresh air is essential for their development!
About our program
Kids Come First - While we follow a daily schedule in our program, we believe that kids come first! Each morning might be different depending on how late they were up the night before, or if they got a good night sleep. We try our best to ensure each child is receiving the support they need to feel relaxed while at our program!
Social-Emotional Learning - While learning the ABCs and how to write your name is important nonetheless, we like to stress a strong focus on the social and emotional development of your child. During circle time we will discuss emotions and allow children to talk freely about how they feel. This will help build the foundation for future confidence and success!
Partnership with Parents - We strive to create a strong relationship with not just your child but your whole family. We are welcoming you into our home like family! Keeping open and honest communication will help maintain a strong relationship!
