Our Teachers

Hello, I’m Lilit and I’m the Director of Smart Kids Wonderschool. I have experience working as a Physics Teacher in middle and high school in my home country of Armenia. I was also a Math Teacher for children ages 6-18 and volunteered in an elementary school for 4 years.

I have always wanted to be a teacher. I earned my degree in Child Development from Los Angeles Mission College.

I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 2. I love playing the piano in my spare time and am excited to incorporate music into the program at Smart Kids Wonderschool.

We also have an Assistant Teacher for our after-school program who works as an English Teacher during the day.

Philosophy

Smart Kids Wonderschool is a trilingual Russian and Armenian, play-based program where kids learn while having fun.

Location

We are located in a quiet and safe child-friendly neighborhood in Sylmar. We are about a mile from the highway for easy drop off and pick up. We have a separate play area just for the children.

We have built out our private backyard especially for the kids.

About our program

At Smart Kids Wonderschool, we love having fun while we learn. For example, one of our favorite activities is doing art projects about professions. We provide a ton of different toys to inspire children’s imaginations, like cars, medical toys, cooking toys and building blocks.

As teachers, we are guides and partners in the children’s learning process. We engage with parents very openly because trust and communication with our families is key to children having the best early education experience possible.

We feel nothing is more beneficial than a home-cooked meal. We serve homemade meals for breakfast and lunch during the day. For example, children might have cereal and milk for breakfast and chicken with vegetables and other sides for lunch.
