Our Teachers

Hello! I am Inna, the founder of Romashka Family Childcare. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I was an Elementary School Teacher in Ukraine and Belarus for 14 years. I have a Master’s in Child Education from Ukraine, as well as 18 Early Child Development/Education units from Foothill College. I also worked in a Childcare Center and in Home program before opening up my own space. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, dancing, the outdoors, and seeing new places in nature.

I have two full time assistant teachers, and other teachers join us for activities such as arts and crafts.

Philosophy

At Romashka Family Childcare, we are a Reggio Emilia inspired, play based program.

Location

Romashka Family Childcare is located in a bright, welcoming single family home in the Sunnyvale neighborhood. Our program is close to many major freeways including the 280, the 101, the 85, the Lawrence and Central Expressways. Our proximity to the freeways and local nearby companies makes the commute to our program easy and stress free.

About our program

Our program is personalized to each student’s individual needs and schedule. We accommodate the needs of our children, which is what sets us apart from larger Child care centers.

Activities

In our program, children will engage in a variety of activities including free play, outside play, and building with blocks. We incorporate the arts through music class, painting, arts and crafts. Additionally, children will have some structured academic time including English, Math and Reading.

Food

Our program offers healthy and delicious meal options for kids. We prepare homemade soups (vegetables with chicken is a favorite!), oatmeal, hot meals, yogurt, cheese, fruits, and vegetables.
