Our Teachers

Hello! I am Gayane Melikyan, the founder of Sunlight Preschool Wonderschool. I have spent the last 35 years on my life working in child care. I studied and received my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education before receiving a site supervisor permit. I am a member of the First Five Association of California and am an advocate for sustainable early childhood systems for future generations. I love working with children and have 3 children of my own!

Philosophy

At Sunlight Preschool, our goal is to provide a quality space with a nurturing environment that encourages children to be happy, intelligent and well adjusted. We use comprehensive approaches to education including multiculturalism, technology integration and a play based curriculum. We believe the strong partnership between families and staff is essential part of our program and allows us to recognize each child’s unique talents, learning styles and personalities. Our highly-qualified teachers are committed to working within each child’s comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional, cognitive and educational skills. Here at Sunlight, we want every child to shine!

Location

Sunlight Preschool Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, bright single family home in the the Sunset. We are conveniently located just blocks away from the L Taravel Muni line as well as AP Giannini Middle school and Robert Lewis Stevenson Elementary.

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at in my private yard. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/sunlight-preschool-wonderschool-5494/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
