Koraima worked as a nanny for our family for over 2 years. As parents of two girls, we wanted someone who was educated in early childhood development & someone who had lots of experience with children. Koraima met both requirements & brought so much more. She provided a safe environment for the girls & her understanding of child development showed in the activities & language that she used with them. Highly recommend Koraima & her daycare!!

Honestly this daycare is probably the best daycare I’ve sent my child to! I tried three other ones but loved this one. The place is clean and neat. Teacher K is so wonderful! I love her energy. She is very responsive with my millions of questions! I’m pregnant now and wish to bring my soon to be born child here! Oh yea and she’s teaching my daughter Spanish! I love it! Thanks teacher K!

Korima is an incredible teacher and caretaker for children. If we hadn’t moved to Oregon, then our daughter might still be with her.

Philosophy
At Arboleda Escuela we believe that children grow, learn and thrive by feeling safe, loved and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that helps prepare children to thrive in school and the broader world.
The best place to learn is outside, through nature and therefore plan to incorporate outside play and learning in our daily schedule. We love to get out and explore, rain or shine!
Our philosophy and curriculum are based on our understanding of the ways in which young children learn. We believe each child develops individually at his/her own pace. Our program looks at the needs and development tasks of our children when planning the environment, activities, and routines. We have embraced the idea that each age and stage of development has integrity of its own.
Every day experiences are what teaches our children about themselves and their world (the emergent curriculum) a child directed curriculum is the overall framework.
We have made it our mission to respect, encourage and support each child in the process of growing socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively. To do this we will provide an environment that invites children to observe, to make choices, to be active, and to experiment that children have the opportunity to develop a sense of initiative and competence.
Location
We are located between Portola and Excelsior district. One block away from McClaren park , we offer lots of parking around the area and public transportation less than a block away. We have multiple school around the area including a public library.
