“Our daughter has been attending LuLus since she opened her doors last year! She loves it there, even though it’s a bit of a drive we are so happy with her progress. She just turned 2 and can count to 20, knows Mandarin and English too!
They have a structured schedule consisting of “project time” which is our daughters favorite time of the day, and library visits. Everyday she comes home with the cutest little art projects. Today she came home with a purple (her favorite color) fish!
Lulu also texts me pictures and updates at the end of each day. It’s really awesome seeing how much fun she’s having. She also caters to our daughters eclectic taste buds, buys her favorite coconut water for her! The meals are all homemade which is a plus! Thanks lulu for taking such good care of her.”

“This daycare is the best. My daughter loves going there. Lulu is very nice, responsible and patient. She can speak both Chinese and English. She knows how to care for and help kids. My daughter is 4 year old. Two months ago she just come back from China. I’m so afraid about her language, because she can’t speak any English. We found Lulu’s daycare. Lulu helps and teach her. She can say some words, and not afraid to speak English.
Every week Lulu has a different topic to help kids learn different things. Every day she plans an activity for kids to learn. Kids can play and also can learn. Lulu’s daycare is nice and clean. She bought furnishing and toys for the kids. Every day she provides fresh fruits and homemade meals. I’m so happy that I found this daycare for my daughter.”

Philosophy
Here at Lulu’s, our mission is to provide an immersive Mandarin experience that also promotes the holistic growth of the child in mind, body, and spirit. Our program is a mixture of free play time, both indoors and outdoors, and teacher-led activities centered around the STEAM philosophy to introduce children to new concepts and provide balance.
We believe in preparing children for their future, but this does not just mean academically. Play helps set the groundwork for passion and curiosity later in life; it gives young children the opportunity to practice social, emotional, and even physical skills. Plus, through our program, your child will learn to speak the most widely spoken language in the world.
Director and Head Teacher Lu has over 10 years of early childhood education experience. Before starting her own program, she was a lead teacher at Mission Neighborhood Center. Her first language is Mandarin.
Location
Lulu’s Family Child Care and Preschool is a home-based program in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco, close to highway 280. Our program is on the ground level and we have a spacious back yard.
We also take walking field trips to nearby parks, libraries, and museums.
About our program
Lulu’s is a full Mandarin-immersion, STEAM-based program. All activities throughout the school day will be conducted in Mandarin. Our program is centered around a feeling of community. Children are encouraged to help each other, learn from each other, and grow together.
Language Immersion
Research shows young children are in a critical period for language acquisition. Their brains are uniquely primed to learn language unlike at any other time in their life. That is why we are excited to introduce young learners to Mandarin, the most widely spoken language in the world. Language immersion will open incredible doors and opportunities for your child from Day 1 and beyond, throughout their life and career.
A Wonderschool Classroom
We are a Wonderschool program, which means our providers, learning environment, and curriculum are all held to highest standards in early care and education (ECE). We have received training through both the classroom and hands-on experience on how to best provide a well-rounded, play-based education to children from ages 1-4 years. In addition, our school gives parents access to the online Wonderschool app to make payments, communicate with us, and make things easy for parents.
