Our Teachers

Cecilia Guerrero is the founder and author of Loritos, a nature-based Spanish language program rooted in linguistics, neuroplasticity, and child development. With a background in applied linguistics and years of experience working with young learners, Cecilia designs learning environments where language is acquired naturally—through movement, play, art, music, and meaningful human connection.

Her educational philosophy is guided by the principles of creer, crear, criar y crecer. Cecilia believes that bilingualism begins with belief—believing that learning a second language is possible and joyful. From there, families are invited to create intentional spaces, routines, and adventures where language can live. Children are then raised with gentle, consistent exposure, free from pressure or comparison. Finally, everyone grows—children, families, and educators—learning alongside one another.

Cecilia’s work is especially focused on early childhood, where the brain’s neuroplasticity allows language to be absorbed in authentic, low-stress ways. Through Loritos, she prioritizes oracy, vocabulary development, and emotional safety, understanding that confidence and connection are essential for communication. Her approach avoids traditional, rigid instruction and instead offers playful repetition, storytelling, hands-on experiences, and real-life language use.

As an author, Cecilia creates original materials that support this method, blending science-backed strategies with creativity and nature-based learning. Her programs are designed for children who are new to Spanish as well as those growing up in bilingual environments, honoring different learning rhythms and cultural backgrounds.

Loritos is not just a language program—it is a community built on trust, curiosity, and joy. Cecilia’s mission is to plant early language seeds that will grow into confidence, cultural awareness, and lifelong bilingualism.
