Our Teachers

Hello! I am Uuganbayar Purevsuren, the founder of Little Stars Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I am originally from Mongolia and used to run an after school program where I helped young kids learn and grow. I am a mother myself and have 2 daughters! I have 14 years of experience working with young children and before I decided to start my own program, I helped a helped a friend run her childcare here in San Francisco for 5 years. I love working with kids and helping every child grow to their potential!

Philosophy

At Little Stars Wonderschool, I want children to feel empowered to follow their own interests in a safe space. I believe in a play-based philosophy. Children will be encouraged to learn through doing! I will speak to the children in English as well as a bit in my native language of Mongolian. I want every child in my care to grow and learn to the best of their ability.

Location

Little Stars Wonderschool is located in a warm, welcoming home in the the Sunset neighborhood. We are conveniently located just a couple blocks away from both the N Judah and Golden Gate Park!

Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard. We have our own play structure which is a great place for the children to run, jump, and move!

About our program

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and art area (for expressing emotions and ideas). We also have a communal table where the children will enjoy all organic, home cooked meals and snacks every day! At Little Stars Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
