Our Teachers

Hello! I am Zagdsodnom Yondonrentsen, the founder of Sodoo’s Family Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I have 10 years of experience working with young children.

I am originally from Mongolia. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Russian and English Teaching. In Mongolia I was a preschool teacher for two years and a middle school teacher for seven years. When I moved to the United States, I worked in an in home program before starting my own program. I also speak multiple language and look forward to speaking these languages with my kids. I speak English, Russian and Korean.

We love Luna and my kid is happy to be in their daycare.

Testimonials

“Sodoo and Luna have been nothing but kindness. I was very anxious about going back to work and leaving my 6 months old baby with some stranger. But Luna has been very patient, and always send me updates and pictures. There are few days both me and my husband have to work late, Sodoo and Luna are so considerate to offer after hour care. I can tell my baby are happy there, always smiling when l pick him up. Definitely recommend this daycare to new parents!” - Xixi

Philosophy

At Sodoo’s Family Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel genuinely cared for and cherished.

Our program encourages activities to be child-led. This allows each child to get a better understanding of themselves and how to interact with the world around them. Each child will feel supported and as if they are at home. When students feel comfortable they are able to thrive and grow.

We believe in giving students opportunities to learn and develop. We have circle time every morning to build a sense of community. We also understand the importance of project-based learning which is different variations of arts and crafts.

Location

Sodoo’s Family Wonderschool is located in a spacious, bright single family home in the Outer Richmond neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), and block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at mix of both my private yard and local parks and playgrounds. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Sodoo’s Family Wonderschool, I want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.
