Our Teachers

My name is Aida Marques. I owned and operated a large daycare in Mill Valley-CA for over 20 years working with infants and toddlers. I speak fluent English, Portuguese and Spanish. I have a Library Science Bachelor degree from the Federal University of Goias-Brazil. I was inspired to start my own program because I came from a big family and grew up surrounded by children. I love to teach and see the world through the children’s eyes.

As a new parent, nothing was more daunting to me than the prospect of going back to work and handing my newborn to a caregiver for several hours a day.  Fortunately for our family, we found Aida. Then located in Mill Valley, Aida provided safe and loving care for infants while also accommodating the needs of growing toddlers. My kids “grew up” with Aida, remaining in her care until pre-k, and during this time they benefited from a home-away-from-home experience where the perfect balance of structure and play was always aligned with their best interests. To this day my kids look back on their daycare days as fun-filled, and they remember with great fondness the bonds they made with Aida and with their little playmates. As a parent, I greatly appreciated having a caregiver who was mature, reliable, consistent and most of all trustworthy.

I am thrilled to recommend Aida to anyone interested! Our son, now 14, started with Aida as an infant, as both his mother and I (his other mother) were full time teachers. It was so hard for us to leave him with anyone, but it quickly became clear he was in a wonderful environment and was happy. Philosophy

At Little Bunny Nursery School, we believe that children grow, learn and thrive by observing and exploring the world around them. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children fell welcome and cherished. The function of the environment is to help and allow the child to develop independence in all areas. By creating a joyful place, we promote learning and inspire the children to engage with new ideas and master their social skills, which will give them confidence to succeed in preschool/kindergarten.

About our program

Our program is Montessori inspired. Montessori education involves free activity within a “prepared environment”, meaning an educational environment tailored to the specific characteristics of children at different ages, and to the individual personalities of each child. We provide a nurturing, clean and healthy environment for the children by creating a safe and welcoming place. All our activities focus in the development of the social, emotional and intellectual of the children, which includes:
