Our Teachers
Jocelyn graduated from San Francisco State University in 2019 with a Bachelors in Communications and a minor in child development. In 2023, after being a social worker for 3 years, she realized her dream of having her own in home childcare program. Her favorite thing about what she does is developing relationships with the children that she teaches and their families. She believes that small class size and the development of a strong community allow her to really know each child as an individual and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years.
Philosophy
At our bilingual childcare program we are focused on helping children build confidence and strong language skills. Developmentally appropriate curriculum is art and play based and seeks to encourage the creative spirit inside every child. Activities help children develop motor skills and critical thinking. Daily schedule includes circle time, group activities, outdoor play, and free play.
Creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for the children is something I thoroughly enjoy. I strive to establish a safe and inclusive space where they can explore, learn, and develop their skills. Witnessing their curiosity and enthusiasm as they engage in various activities, play, and interact with their peers brings me immense fulfillment.
Building strong relationships with both the children and their families is an integral part of my childcare philosophy. I believe in fostering open and transparent communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s daily activities, progress, and any important updates. It brings me great satisfaction to earn the trust of parents and to be entrusted with the care and well-being of their children.
